Massage

Massage works with the muscle and connective tissue to enhance health and well-being. It’s immediate benefit is the relief of tension and pain - so commonly felt in the neck, shoulders and back. Massage relaxes not just the soft-tissue, but the body as a whole.  Among its many benefits are less pain, greater flexibility and improved circulation and digestion.  Relaxation is a key benefit; massage can help with stress-related conditions, reducing anxiety and improving mood.

Hands -use

While I work in the 'traditional' Swedish style, using long flowing strokes, friction and pressure, a major influence has been my training in the ‘point pressure’ styles of Shiatsu, Thai massage and Acupressure. I bring also 25 years experience of working with the body.

I hold an ITEC Diploma in Holistic Massage, and qualifications in Acupressure, Shiatsu, Thai and Biodynamic massage. I'm fully insured and a member of the Association of Biodynamic Massage Therapists  (ABMT).
